On September 9-10 Crocus Expo hosted the International contract manufacturing and private label show - IPLS - a business platform for demonstrating the achievements of the private label market, where industry trendsetters gather.  During two show days, the industry’s trendsetters demonstrated their achievements, shared experiences, discussed successful cases and growth opportunities for private label market players in the new market reality on the safe ground.

Despite the post-crisis situation in the industry, more than 1 000 private label specialists, representatives of major retail chains interested in launch of products under their own brands attended the event.


The International exhibition of contract manufacturing and private label IPLS became a combination of various formats:

  • 106 exhibiting companies from 8 countries, leaders of the contract manufacturing industry, presented food, non-food, packaging and design sectors;
  • 1 118 visitors – private label specialists;
  • Retail Connect Summit - conference and personal negotiations for manufacturers and retailers;
  • Private Label Gallery - private label gallery from retail chains;
  • Novelty Lab – top 10 new products from show exhibitors;
  • Private Label Awards – the only professional prize for private labels in Russia;
  • The newest system of online services.


During two show days visitors got acquainted with new products, which may appear under their own brands on the shelves of multi-format and specialised retail chains, pharmacies, fashion-retail stores, DIY, household appliances, computers and children’s products this year. Reliable and stable producers have presented their products at the show: Avilor, VTF, Instanta Rus, Pobeda, Medoviy Dom, Agroprodukt, Vkusnoteev, Mirrolla, York, Alabino, Abrazivnye tekhnologii, Avangard, Alternativa, Aseptika M.K., ArhBum Tissue Group, Afalina, Vestar, Grand A.V., Dental-Cosmetic-Rus, Farmakor Production, Grinfield Rus, Tonar and many others.

Food sector of the show presented manufacturers of beverages, groceries, prepared meals and national cooks, canned foods, confectionery and bakery products, pet food, natural, dietary and functional products, biologically active additives, snacks and gum, vinegar, sauce, seasoning, tea and coffee were represented.

Non-food sector gathered manufacturers of household chemicals, perfumes and cosmetics, pharmaceutical products, household and DIY goods, personal hygiene, home textiles, clothing and footwear, pet products, packaging and design.

IPLS provided an opportunity to see the private label goods successfully launched during the last year at specialised areas onsite and enjoy the atmosphere of live networking with other participants.

IPLS Novelty Lab annually inspires retailers, HoReCa specialists and brand owners for further development by representing Top-10 novelties from exhibitors: York, Alternativa, Gerteks, Grand A.V., Grinfield Rus, Medoviy dom, Natur Kosmetics, Norvin, Trade Centre, Yuzhnyj Al'yans. Traditionally visitors were able to get to know the private label product lines by retail chains nominated for Private Label Awards 2020 at a specialised area - Private Label Gallery.


2 days of intensive business program within the framework of the exhibition brought together all the key industry experts. The main event of the business program – specialised market Retail Connect Conference, united delegates for effective networking with experts, who prepared useful business insights: cases, market analytics and industry updates to solve essential business issues.

Manufacturers and retail chain representatives found new partners and customers in a series of face-to-face meetings., 36,6 Pharmacy, Auchan, Erkapharm, Nevada group (Sambery), Dochki-Synochki, Drogery Soyuz, Komandor, Magnit Apteka, Magnoliya, Maxi, O‘KEY, Perekrestok, Rigla, Evropa, Umniy riteil (Samokat), Federal'niy zakupochniy soyuz and others were among the buyers taking part in the meetings. The online meetings with 5 more retailers - Magnum, SPAR, Auchan, Slata, Vita Nord - continued the Retail Connect Summit negotiations after the show.

Despite the post-crisis economic situation 1 118 contract manufacturing specialists attended the event during two show days. According to the surveys conducted after the show, 82% of visitors pointed out the necessity of attending the event for private label market, 81% plan to visit the exhibition next year. The importance of the project and its ability to meet the needs of different market sectors approved by the high scores. 81% of visitors were from Moscow and Moscow region; others came from all other Russian federal districts.
